Cape Breton Atlantic Salmon: Margaree River
Posted by fliesandfinsnorth on Tuesday, November 14 @ 19:04:51 PST
The Margaree River is the river the world record Atlantic Salmon was caught at 50 plus pounds. That record still holds today. There are plenty of lodges with cabins and Inns. There are very few restaurants in the area. Most lodges have their own eatery on the property. Their are several good rivers within 10 - 15 miles that have Salmon and sea run Raibows.
These Rainbows are often called Steelhead and are quite bountifu in the Spring and Fall runs. These Rainbows can relieve the pressure of a no bite day.
