Atlantic Salmon: Rotating The Pool
Posted by fliesandfinsnorth on Wednesday, November 15 @ 06:16:32 PST
Rotating a pool holdiing fish is a common practice when there is more than one person fishing the same water. This practice has been around for years and is practiced with great zeal. When showing up to a pool ask who is last in line so you know the order. Next, find the boundries of the pool that is where the pool starts and where it ends. Fishing beyond these points is not only exceptable but I have caught many fish in the lower and upper runs of a pool.
You step in to the top of the pool and make your first cast. Your object is to cover the water. The general rule is to take a step and cast again until you reach the end of the pool. So cast, step, cast and step through the pool.
