Canada Fly Fishing: Sea Run Brown Trout
Posted by fliesandfinsnorth on Wednesday, November 15 @ 10:21:13 PST
A friend, with whom I do a lot of fishing, lives in Nova Scotia right on the coast and is surrounded by Salmon and Sea Run Brown rivers. He can't wait to call in the Spring to tell me the Sea Run Browns are running. I have had some good times at the mouth of these rivers and streams catching these Sea Run sub marines. The flies are usualy streamers of all kinds from Mickey Finns to Clousers, nymphs can also be used and are sometimes better than streamers.
Wooly Buggers Black and Olive are a good go to fly for the undecided fisherman. There are a lot of rivers and streams on the East coast of Nova Scotia that have Browns running into them in good numbers. Even if your just going for vacation take a rod.
