They take more work and preperation but can be great adventures. These type of trips will require guides but in the middle of what can be a harsh and unforgiving enviroment to the unfamiliar, a guide becomes a necessity and may keep a great adventure from becoming a nightmare. There are a lot of fly in oppotunities in Canada. There are fly in trips for Brookies, Pike and Lake Trout. I have seen some of the Brooies and Lake trout from fly in trips and they are huge. For fly in trips you'll want waterproof bags for meds and other things that must be kept dry. Another though is layerable clothing made of breathable fast drying material.
