Tips, Ties And Tactics Atlantic Salmon: Canada

For those who had the opportunity to fish the Spring run for Atlantic Salmon on the Penobscot river, It's over. This season had 2 weeks of high water the first of May leaving 2 weeks to the season. The caught and released fish numbered 54 and the fish I tailed was a bright shiny fish and 31". Until the fall run in Maine we must look North for the pleasure of pursuing the King of fish. Yes, gas will be high and the dollar is down against the Canadian dollar and Blah! Blah!. If your like me and my friends you still have to go. If you don't have others to share gas, find some. Leave a message in the forum on the main page and write when and where your going. This could leed to new friends, good ideas on fishing, spots to go and make it easier on gas. You could also call your guide/ outfitter and see who is coming from along your route for the same time? Get something going and see you there.
